The Pasco-Kennewick Rotary Club is inviting the community to come and support its scholarship programs while enjoying some wine and vying for auction items ranging from a Traeger 650 grill to a professional photo session.

The Rotary club’s Wine Gala is from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 8 at Zintel Creek Golf Course in Kennewick. The event is one of many the organization puts on to raise tens of thousands of dollars for the academic and vocational scholarships it awards to local high school graduates.

Mardi Gras will be the theme of this year’s event. Registration is $65 per person and includes two glasses of wine from Market Vineyards and appetizers. Other auction items contributed by local businesses include: 24-bottle wine refrigerator partially filled with wine, golf course certificates, wine tasting at various wineries, among others.
